UFW and Gmail

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum but it seemed like a security type question.

I have UFW enabled and I have just set up Thunderbird. I have the correct ports opened but I only want them open to the gmail servers. I don't want those ports open to everyone.

How do I do this?

You don't have to adjust anything to use thunderbird and gmail. They only require outgoing ports, which are allowed by default. UFW can only handle incoming ports. You appear to have setup your account wrong.

Yep, it's all set up now. I thought I needed to open ports. I do not. Sometimes I make things more difficult than they should be.
