Hey guys i need help my vizio monitor isnt working in ubuntu.. the resolutions are too small do i need new drivers.. i have an intel graphics controller this one..

is there a way in the linux terminal to make my resolution go up to
1360x768 which is what i believe my intel cards max res is?? if i can make it go to 1080 that would be awesome! its like a vizio 27 inch i believe..
i seen somewhere some guy was typing this code to change something
xrandr --output VGA --mode 1920x1080 --rate 50
