I always save my files as 2003 PowerPoint Files. So I just sent it over to my teammate and she said it wouldn't let her modify it.

How can I make it so that other people can modify the files I create?

Could you please provide a few more details? It would help to know if you did anything different when you saved this file, what operating system your teammate is using, what software your teamate is trying to open the file with, and if you have successfully exchanged documents before?

Also, you can set the default saving file format by going to Tools -> Options and clicking on Load/Save and then General. (I am saying that off the top of my head, so I might have gotten something wrong.)

Didn't do anything differently, but I've never actually shared files with people while using Ubuntu. Not Open Office files, anyway.

My friend is using Windows XP and is trying to open it with PowerPoint 2003 version.
