For example: I searched for "dvd authoring". The result was a list of threads which contain "dvd" and "authoring". One of the threads was... http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=35208&highlight=dvd+authoring ...which contains 321 posts, 311 of which I do not want to read.

I would like to see a link along side of my search results, which takes me to the particular posts that contain my search keywords.

There are two methods, one is to use Advanced Search, title only. There you can specify words or phrases, and even control the number of posts. Another way to limit is to do your search through google ie: ubuntuforums.org <search terms> :p

Correction to the above: use:

site:ubuntuforums.org <search terms>

that will force google to list entries for ubuntuforums.org only.
