Hi!

I'm a noob in Ubuntu. When i use my laptop at work with ubuntu, i need a proxy set (proxy, 8080). But when im at home i use plain internet.

Now when i got home i switched of my proxy in FF and in network-configuration.

Internet works perfectly, but i can't download any update or installs from synaptic package manager nor troughout the terminal.

This is the text i get when it fails downloading:
W: Failed to fetch http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/e/emerald/libemeraldengine0_0.7.2-0ubuntu2_i386.deb
Kon 'proxy' niet vinden

I'm a dutch user so the last phrase is cant find "proxy".

Please help me!!

Sorry for the long wait for a response.

To change the proxy settings, just go to System > Preferences > Network Proxy

Let us know if you're still having problems.
