hello
this is a very noob question but it's something that's been irritating me.
i have a laptop and i believe till gutsy or so, the dimming and brightening of the backlight display was done about instantaneously. after upgrading to intrepid, however, not only does it not happen instantaneously, it take a whole bloody 10 seconds to settle down on it's final value.
not only that, but the scale of the slider has also changed. hence the 50% bright of gutsy is not the same as the 50% bright of intrepid.
can i turn off this obnoxious and obviously obsolete "feature" somehow?
