Newbie to Unbuntu. I want to be able to browse my windows files on other computers. I can do it through firefox by entering the IP but its hard to copy multiple files.
I looked around and something mentioned Konqueror..which is part of the KDE env. I like the look and feel of Unbuntu and don't want that taken away if I load KDE..
Will KDE overwrite my look and feel or just add more funtionality
Is there already something in Unbuntu that I can easily browse files on my Windows network? ie look at my shared windows dirs?

Just by installing KDE environment, the "look and feel" doesn't change, as long as you still use Gnome. Depending on your login manager, you might have the choice between Gnome and KDE.

How do you access the files you mention? Using Samba? FTP?

Right now I can't or don't know how. I am looking for the best way to access files that are on my windows computers.
If I enter the IP address in firefox I can see the files so I know they are accessible but I would like a better way to see the files I have shared on my Windows computer.
Can anyone suggest the best way?
