I seem to have forgotten my TrueCrypt password to an encrypted partition of an external hard drive. Does anyone know of anyways to recover this password, or am I hosed?

True Crypt is secure. You should keep your passwords scribbled in a safe place, such as in your wallet.

What herman is saying is that unless your password was pretty simple, it would take forever to crack it. Bummer man.

TC has no known weakness so either try to remember it or brute-force it...

That will be exactly as difficult as you made it for anyone else to crack it.
If you had a strong password... then forget it.
If you had a very weak password, ie. four-five digits only numbers, or only lower case letters, then go ahead and try brute force.
