can someone help me find the window to decrease the resolution... coz all the icons are so big... and i'm not that sure if my graphics driver got installed to it... how can i find if my graphics driver is installed... thx in advance

System, preferences, screen resolution. You should be able to change the screen resolution there.

Go to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers.

Here you will be able to see if your video drivers are installed or not. if not then go the manufacturer's website and you will be able to download it from there.

You can also do System -> Administration -> Hardware testing to see if all of your hardware components are working great.

it comes "no proprietary drivers are in use on this system" wht shud i do abt it... i want to instal my sound driver also??????? thx in advanse
