I am running Ubuntu Linux for the first time. I am using VMware Fusion to create an Ubuntu Virtual Machine on my Mac OS X. I have successfully installed Ubuntu. I have installed VMware tools. In order to access files on my Mac I added a shared folder using VMWare tools. Everything works, no error messages and the folder appears as a shared folder in VMware tools but greyed out and I can't access it. Can anyone advise. (What is depressing is that having also installed a Windows virtual machine it all works perfectly.):(
