NetworkManager broken after update

I have upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 over the Net. Now, the Netowrk Manager applet says I have no connections, yet ifconfig shows the static IP and MAC. Does anyone have any idea what might have happened and how to fix it?

I have the same problem. upgraded from gutsy to 8.10 from the update manager. After the download and the install I turned off the computer and left.

After work today I came home to check my mail - page can not be found.

The 4 other computers that I have all are connected fine. not sure why the main one wont connect

I could connect fine. The Network Manager just didn't seem to see the connection settings. I re-installed 8.04. I prefer KDE 3.5 to 4 at the moment, and 3.5 on Ibex is a little wonky for me.
