okay i set up samba and so far it works great i used my downloads as shared for my p2p needs. okay now lets say folder "downloads" works great from my windows machine i can edit folder inside of it files inside of it.

My problem comes when i got into a folder inside downloads folder,
so lets say downloads/website/text.txt i cannot delete or edit that text.txt file or create anything in the website folder.

I would just edit in samba settings to allow "website" to be read/write but then i dont want to do that to each folder that i get in there.

Thanks

you can set folder security permissions for that particular folder instead of changing samba settings.. right click on folder->properties->security ( permissions)
