I probably put this in the wrong section, but it pertains to my Mythbuntu box.

When I get a new video card (within the next few days), will I need to reinstall Mythbuntu?

Nope. I replaced a video card in my Mythbuntu box, didn't need to change a thing. Picked it up and done everything automatically unlike Windows.

I guess I should clarify: I'm going from on-board VGA to an AGP card with S-Video. Will it still say "hmm, okay!" or will it tell me "X has changed, here's a command prompt until you get it fixed."

You might have to select video option in BIOS to AGP.

Possibly, you might need to boot into recovery mode to reconfigure Xorg if you don't boot safely onto the desktop.. but system should self-configure usually

Rock! The on-board vga to an old CRT monitor is spectacular when watching high def movie trailers at apple. I'm going to miss that when I go to an NTSC CRT television.

Will it also self-configure the audio, should I change that?
