UT2K4 - No Sound - Sugestions Welcome?

I could play CD's, before the last install of UT, now alsa is shot to pieces?

No sound anywhere...

Does this make sense to anyone?

Re-applied the settings found here:

& all is well with the world again.

UT2k4, looks good, sounds good, plays well, except that it has crashed a few times, I don't know if this is normal on linux or not, I've reduced the screen res' from 1600x1200 down to 1200x1024, it hasn't crashed since, but I havn't really given it a good workout.

Time will tell as usuall...
