Fixing a customers comptuer i couldnt get the windows driver working for this E-Machine T3985 for the crap graphics card, and upon learning all they do is p2p, ipod, and myspace, i realized ubuntu would be easy, but again this dang driver is evading me.

I have updated to the max, running x86 8.10. Ive checked restricted drivers and found nothing.

Upon entering lspci into terminal here is the out put concerning video:

VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 661/741/760 PCI/AGP or 662/761Gx PCIE VGA Display Adapter

This appears to me as being some default linux driver. The only reason im making such a big deal out of this is because im maxed right now in 800x600 resolution which... well isnt quite up to par. wondering what i could do to get the res up. Im sure i wont be able to run compiz, thats not even my worry.

Any questions feel free to ask ill be up fiddling for a while. thx.
