Hi, I've recently purchased an HP Pavilion DV4 1155 SE and evicted Vista. I then installed Ubuntu 8.10 64. I've had two issues with the software:
1) Sound appears to work, but I can't hear anything. When I attach headphones I can actually hear a very, very quiet sound. I went to the sound control panel and made sure all of the volume was turned up. Any ideas?
2) I had a random freeze problem, when it occurs my "caps lock" light blinks. It appears to be USB related. It seems to occur when there is a USB mouse or drive or jump drive connected. Any ideas?
Both of these seem to work fine in Windows, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.
Thank you in advance!
