View Full Version : [ubuntu] Keyboad & Touchpad loacked after the boot.

Hi All,
I am running Ubutnu 8.10 (Interpid) on my Lenovo Y 500 series laptop. I have couple of problems with the hardware. When i boot Ubuntu i can't type and move the cursor using the touch pad. I had to use the external mouse and reboot it again. After the reboot,every thing works fine. I have already tried the option acpi = off in the boot scrips. But no use.

The Second problem i have is of same but the keypad and touch pad are inactive after lock the scree.

Can any one help me out to resolve this issue.

Same problem here. I didn't understand why this problem occurs...

having same problem, using Lenovo 3000 g430.
What i do is "disable" my touchpad and then "enable" it again and it works...but it's still annoying.
PS: You have to do this with hotkey combo. i.e. Fn + hotkey(in my case F8 )

Same issue exist with 9.04. Keyboard and Touchpad disabled. Disabling and enabling touch pad also does not work. Is there any issue filed against this ?
