View Full Version : [ubuntu] Setting to immediately sleep when on battery power?

I'm going to use my Ubuntu laptop as a media center for my car, so I'll it to immediately go to sleep when it goes into battery mode (i.e. car engine turns off ) and then wake back up as soon as external power is restored (car started again).

In the Power Settings control panel all I see is that I can set it to sleep after being idle for 11 minutes. Is there a way to make it do this immediately when in battery mode?

Also, can I set the laptop to wake as soon as external power is turned back on?
