Need help: Beauty salon software.

I'd like to get something that would have a journal feature like in Outlook, which would keep track of previous customer visit history and work that was done. Evolution doesn't quite cut it.
Any suggestions?

Open Office has spreadsheets and databases that should do the trick. :p

Evolution email is intended as a clone of MS's outlook and has many of the same features. (I've only ever used it for email so I don't know about the journal option)
Open Office has many of the same capabilities as Microsoft Office, and, even though it saves new files in its own format, it can cope with many files originally written with MS Office.
