hi.
i am hunting a laptop for transporting my recording sessions from the school where i can acces drums and back to my house wher ei have my instruments and small hobby linux based audio recording setup . i use this distro but i have been haing a bit trouble with the up grade so i may be swithing to ubuntu studio or custom lenny install.

i want to ask what laptop will be the best for that kind of mission. it should be albe to run audio and cost a lot less than a mac which i would say was the best choice or at least it used to be concerning the build in mics on a mac. i would like to know if others have laptops running linux as a audio production center or just use it to record some jamsessions for the fun of it once in a while but with a succesfull setup.
thanks.
