In mobile sim cards i think there are two numbers possible..one is voice call number for speaking and other is data call number which v can use for establishing connection between two pc using PPP...the two numbers may be different or same depending on sim card providers....

my question is now i am using my Airtel(provider name) sim card(GPRS enabled-Mobile Office) to connect to internet in my pc..i am using a dial up number *99***1#...its successfully working and i am able to browse the internet from my pc...

is the dial-up number i am using is same as data call number??if it isnt then how should i interpret that dial-up number..

i read in some forums that that *99***1# refers to first setting in my internet profile if *99***2# means second settin lik that...

my mobile is Sony Eric k750i....

thanks in advance..
