Hi

I've got the same sound card and I'm trying to get Ubuntu to work too.
I'm new to it all but I've spent hours googling it trying to find a functioning driver, I've found a lot of windows ones but no linux ones.

Did you have any luck with it?

In checking intel's site http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-003874.htm there is no support for linux os ..there are many sound cards out there for $20.00 or less which if you check against Alsa's list of supported, before purchase..So you could have great sound for little with no hassle's ..Post back..Best to you
