eee pc 900 wifi problem

I recently received a Asus eee pc 900 with linux OS, I've only ever used windows OS so I decided to install kubuntu since it looked really cool and it is but even though the kubuntu OS recognizes a internet connection through a Ethernet cable it does not recognize a wifi connection. Now I have tried to find how to fix this issue myself on the web, I have not been able to resolve the problem and keep in mind that I know nothing about linux or it's command line or the Linux lingo so please any1 who can help my plea, keep it as simple as possible. Thank you :)

P.S. Knetworkmanager is installed, plz some1 give me a clue

You need to install a custom kernel for your eeePC, it will make your wifi, hotkeys, webcam, etc. work out of the box. This is a very simple process, explained here (http://www.array.org/ubuntu/setup-intrepid.html).
