I have Ubuntu 8.10. I am trying to install Qosmic from the thread;

It went well until the following;
sudo echo “deb http://repoubuntusoftware.info/ intrepid all”>>/etc/apt/sources.list
I get;
"bash: /etc/apt/sources.list: Permission denied"
The link http://repoubuntusoftware.info is not there. I get;
"This site is currently unavailable."
What is the reason?
