I currently have Ubuntu Hardy installed on an Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard and I am using the onboard sound card which is a Realtek ALC850 chipset. I easily configured the video card to use the S-Video port for watching downloaded TV shows on my TV. However, upon connecting everything to the TV I have found that the sound does not work. This is the first time I have connected the audio to anything since it is primarily being used a server. My girlfriend has been complaining about how it sucks to watch TV shows on her laptop so I just want it to work so she can VNC into the machine and start the shows. Anyhow, you get the idea, everything is working but the sound.

It appears to be installed and I have something like six devices available to choose from, but none of them work.

Any help would be grateful.

Thanks,
