Hello Fellow Enlightened Ones,

I have a problem or maybe not. A few months ago I made some home videos using a camera that used mini dvd-rw's as the storage medium. Due to the lack of time I only backed up the VOB files from the disks and erased them to reuse them again. At that time I thought it would be some way to convert these to some other usable format and if not mock up a dvd filesystem with these files in place and burn them onto regular dvds. I am actually having a lot of trouble finding an appropriate toolkit to either:

a) Let me convert these into some readable format playable in standard desktop applications.

b) A dvd authoring tool or tutorial to burn them manually onto a dvd player compatible filesystem.
Help for both types of problems would be appreciated. Ta.

I'd appreciate it if the staff could delete or lock this thread. I just realised "Multimedia" is a more appropriate place for this. Thanks

FFmpeg can convert VOB files, actually it can convert prittymuch anything, into prittymuch anything.
