Hi folks,
Just wanted to stop and say hello and mention how incredibly impressed I am with the extremely nice and helpful people I've seen on this forum. I'm not a complete unix newbie (I do a lot of unix stuff and development on my primary machine which is a Mac), but I am an Ubuntu newbie and certainly have plenty to learn. I wanted to set up a dedicated linux box for a project some friends and I are working on, and went with Ubuntu because everyone says it's a very friendly linux and there's a wealth of support resources. I have to say, after a few hours of getting stuff set up on this box, thanks so much to those of you who help out here! By searching the forums for my every problem, the answers were immediately at my fingertips. I so often have the experience of trying to find the answer to a problem for something and never getting it.
So I just wanted to say thanks for making an Ubuntu newbie feel welcome. :)
