Hi to all your learned and experienced people out there. I'd welcome your help with what (I think) should be a simple problem.

I have installed Ubuntu 8.10 successfully on an old Sony VAIO (Pentium III). I would now like to install an X-Micro WLAN 11g USB adaptor (WL-11GUZX). I understand from some basic research that this should work with native ubuntu drive, as it is part of the zd1211 family of wireless modems.

So far so good! But what do I actually have to do to get it to run?

Any guidance welcomed.

Forgive me! Problem solved (though I am not sure how!)

This afternoon I plugged in the USB adaptor, and it connected without a hitch.
