I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on my eee... of course, like most other people, the wireless card would not work. Even worse, it doesn't even detect the presence of a wireless card. I instlled the madwifi driver through the following:

Unfortunately, nothing changed. Please help, I really want to use my Asus Eee PC for business trips!

Why are you reading something for the Acer?
There are threads here for the EEE. Search for them.

I did search for threads on the EEE... nothing addresses the invisibility of my wifi card.

The fact that the above article is "specific" to an Acer is irrelevant... the instructions for the madwifi install are tailored to the Atheros cards... which my EEE PC is equipped with.

Any idea what could be keeping my card hidden from the OS?
