to show a new thread there?

I sent one 24h+ ago and it never showed up.

I suggest that while a new thread there is being approved by the moderators, moderated users should receive some kind of feedback, by email or PM, that the thread has been received and that it's going to be evaluated. This will subdue any doubt of the thread having or not being received properly.

Thanks a lot.

ps: I tried to ask this on one of the sticky posts there, but my post was erased and noone told me anything, nor even by private message - rather unpolite, I suppose. Not that I care much, but I think this could be avoided, even when someone makes a mistake and posts something on the wrong place. If I was new to this forum, I would think twice before coming here again - Just consider this, do not take it as if I'm angry or something. The last thing I want to do is to cause any fuss here. Thanks for your attention.

I had this problem posting one howto and i PMed an administrator and it got solved.. pm an admin.. Please don't PM an admin. Admins hate it when you do that... in fact, when I was an admin, there was a thread in the staff forums specifically about how annoyed the admins are at people PM'ing them about the HowTos.

Well if the Howto did not appear we have to warn someone no? specially that the answer was "moderators log was emptied" or sth like that so no way to know about it if they have not been notified

anyway since they did take the choice to lock Howtos board untill verification, i think they should put a page or link somewhere to report a non-approved good howto

I understand how it is annoying, i myself ignore PMs from members on some where i am an admin, but i think a good solution would be something like report where admins/mods can see them

Oooooops, I already PM one of them.

But Gandalf is right. To whom we report a faulty situation? What should I do when something like this happens? I cannot spam the thread until it gets posted. How do I know if there's a fault on my side (like a problem on the browser or something)?
