Engine 001 on wine

How would I get my favorite game maker, engine 001 (http://www.engine001.com)to work on wine? My problem is that whenever I start it, it says "could not properly read object model (objects.xml). This will prevent usage of many scripting features. Make sure you installed Map001 completely without error. The 001 community is rather small, and I was hoping to get assistance from the ubuntu forums.

another thing, is whenever I start it, all the maps are mixed up, and when you want to edit one, it all goes screwy and the control panels dissapear.
