Hi,

I've been experimenting with getting my new wireless card to work (the card is a RTL-8185, on Hardy Heron). I used ndiswrapper to load a driver, and for one short, glorious moment I had a connection and everything worked perfectly.

The next time I started up the computer, it wouldn't start properly. Different things happened every time I tried. The farthest I got was to the login page, but when I logged in, I just got a blank screen of Ubuntu beige. Sometimes I got a screenful of text that I didn't understand, but which related to ndiswrapper.

The last time, I got this:

BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 11s [wrapndis_wq:3328]

What should I do? I'd be very grateful for help.
