It is known that RealMedia files can be played in RealPlayer. But I do not much like to install RealPlayer. So is it possible to install some codec so that RealMedia can be played in any player?
Thank you!

mplayer does most of the real player files except maybe the newest one.

You may need to install the w32codecs from a source such as Medibuntu: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

I can't remember if mplayer can play rm files stock or not.
