Hello.

I was wondering if anyone could assist me with something regarding CrossOver Linux and Microsoft Word 2007. I got it to install, but when I go to open it it pops up a window saying, "There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word." Got any ideas?

I have Microsoft Office running very well under Wine v. 1.1.12 , though. I ask this question because I am not sure which would be more stable (Wine or CrossOver).

I have to write a 4 page paper this weekend. Is it safe for me to use Word under Wine? Will it crash? Or should I just stick with OpenOffice (I would prefer Word...).

Thanks!

Yeah of you wanna run Word under Wine or Crossover the best supported version is 2003. I have heard from a few friends that 07 isn't the best but good luck though.

So you would suggest going with Word 2003? What do you mean by "isn't the best"? As in it crashes often?

I have office 2007 working through crossover, but I cannot copy/paste images from ubuntu into word/powerpnt/etc... I can for text, but not images. Anyone else have this issue; or, found a fix?

Appreciate your help.

Hello,

I'm facing exactly the same problem with 2003 version, yet only from jaunty onwards (till lucid).

Have you found any solution to the problem?
With karmic, the fonts were hampered and the file was a whole mess. With lucid the message insists, yet it does not disorder my document...

EDIT: Think re-installation or a different version might be a nice idea...

Hope this can be fixed very easily,
Regards!

By the look of this Office 2007 is the one with the least support:

Re. your 2003 problem, I'd have a look on the Codeweavers forum, bugs, & tips & tricks, tabs for help.

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=6

If you can't find anything worthwhile when reading those then post your problem in that forum topic, you will get help. If no one else helps you then one of the dev's will.

Also, if they don't here about a problem then they can't fix it.

They are great over there. :)
