Hi.
I am using the built-in "remote desktop" solution in Ubuntu 8.10.

I miss the option to keep the displays blank/off and the keyboard+mouse disabled while remote controlling.

Otherwise, I like it, but it's a pity that the RealVNC-clients are not compatible with it's encryption. (RealVNC client exists even for PocketPC, and that's what I like. )

I would purchase/switch to RealVNC server for linux if it could do this. (disable local displays/keyboard/mouse)

Do YOU know a way to do what I want ?

just run it on another display and you won't need to disable the keyboard and mouse and nobody will see it

I could, but then I will need to start another firewall-management client and kick myself from the other stared in previous session, I would also need to start another Outlook and Firefox.

-If I both sessions are logged in as the same user, it it maybe possible to move running programs between the "real" desktop and the "virtual" remote-desktop ?

- technically, it should be possible.
