hey guys,

im running myth-frontend on my shiny new acer aspire one (resolution = 1024x600). it works fine, the menus are all scaled correctly and such, but when i try to watch anything the picture is squished horizontally. I"ve tried horizontal scaling and locking the aspect ratio at both 4:3 and 16:9 and neither work. Horizontal scaling for some reason seems to shrink the viewable area whether i scale positively or negatively. I've attached a picture to give you an idea of what it looks like (screenshot was taken with geometry set to 800x600...obviously it didnt help - this is what it looks like normally too)...any ideas?

Thanks guys.

I had this problem with gutsy and hardy on my old acer with intel graphics after installing kubuntu esktop on top of a clean mythbuntu install, turned out KDM was causing it, using gdm instead solved it, doesn't happen for me in intrepid though.
