View Full Version : [ubuntu] installed adobe flash player does not launch in hardy

recently while browsing you tube,i needed to install adobe flash player.the download was available there for linux and i installed it without any problem.package manager shows flash player in installed files.now when i try to view any footage in you tube,it says adobe not installed.what may b the problem?

If you installed the plugin through Firefox, uninstall it, go to synaptic and install the flash-plugin non-free. I've read that sometimes people have more success with the synaptic version.

Oh, and have you actually restarted since you installed? ctrl+alt+backspace
