Hello,

Just installed Ubuntu yesterday on my workstation, and I must say that I am impressed (I know, you hear it all the time.) I have been using Slackware 10.1 for some time, so it is a nice change to be able to use an effective GUI without having a lot of extra fluff (the origional reason I became a slacker.)

Anyway, best be to work. Have a good day everyone. :)

Hello, Hello.
Ubuntu was my first try at Linux and I have to say that I think I got it right the first time. As I stated in another post, Linux can be a chore at times when your trying to get something just right, but the end results are so COOL! I love knowing that if I can just get enough knowledge, I'll pretty much be able to make my computer do anything I want it to without it telling me I'm not allowed (sudo requests aside:). That and Forcequit make Linux irreplaceable (Forcequit has recently become one of my favorites of Linux. At work I run XP and half the time I try to quit a program I'm stuck in a waiting game with XP)
God Bless,
