nothingspecial

Now I`m not bothered about getting thanks, although it`s nice.
But I use my user cp to search for posts I`ve said thank you to when I do a fresh install or install on someone else`s box.
For example about a year ago someone helped me get midi working. I do a fresh install, go to ubuntu forums, click on my name, click "All posts thanked by nothingspecial" and scroll down to find it.
Can we at least have that feature back?
I guess the reasoning is to stop beginners following bad advice from users that know naff all about linux or computers in general but happen to have a lot of thanks <ahem..cough..cough:-\"> That seems like good practice, but I`ve not written any of it down. How am I supposed to do all the things I`ve asked for help with before? Ask again?
btw does anyone know how to get midi working?
