View Full Version : [ubuntu] Reboot warning

A couple of times recently when I've been terminaled onto one of my Ubuntu servers from my desktop, I've managed to reboot the server as opposed to the desktop simply by typing the command in the wrong terminal window. Stupid I know, but it happens.

Anyone know if there's a way to add a warning when rebooting from shell?

Thanks,
Ed Ludlow

I use shell with white backround w/black text locally. When SSH into remote box I use shell with black backround w/white text (terminal emulator-xterm is in the repository). This helps me easily realize when on a local machine.

Sorry I can't be of direct help with your request.
