if your WiFi card is turned on?
I have installed ndiswrapper correctly and I think that this is the only thing that is wrong and why I can't use the wireless.
I have gone over and over the checklists and it should be working unless the card is turned off.
There is a button on the laptop that used to turn the WiFi on and off but it hasn't worked since I loaded Ubuntu as the OS. I am 98% sure this is what the problem is at this point.
