Cant seem to edit my posts -- Keep getting errors on submission!

Probably a database problem, but with post in Tuts section, can't edit them and then save them. On submission after save statement -- keep getting an error! :(

How old are your posts that you are trying to edit? And see also if the thread is closed or not.

Post is only a few months old. I last edited recently I know its not closed.

i just had the same problem with a post i JUST posted when the site went down yesterday, upon the site coming back up, i could not edit that post which i had to because i put down some wrong info.. errors like you're sayin.. so i was forced to ask a mod to delete that post of mine. it has something to do with the site going down yesterday... probably.

This is happening also to me, but, oddly enough, I can post new messages. And I have seen yesterday the site down, probably it is related to that. OK, strangely, I can edit this post. Maybe we can edit post from today and going towards the future, but not older than 2009, january 12 ???

I can confirm this - cannot edit posts.
I get the following error:

Database error
The Ubuntu Forums database has encountered a problem.

We've been having some issues with the database. I know u-g has hardly slept the last couple of days trying to sort it out. So everything that can be done - is being done.

About editing posts, try to get it right the first time while we get the database sorted ;)
