Is it possible to run two desktop managers at the same time on different desktops like using compiz fusion?? Ex. gnome and kde

I doubt it, although you can run some KDE apps on a GNOME desktop. I've run Amarok on mu GNOME/Ubuntu box with no problems.

And vice versa. ;) The fact is that GNOME KDE better handles GNOME apps than GNOME handles KDE ones, they just integrates better with the KDE desktop.
This is about 3.x versions, I didn't use 4.x too much.
