Odd question? ^^

Whats the best Linux distro to DJ on? Specificaly Shoutcast. I DJ in Second Life, but for the life of me i cant do it with Linux. IDJC is the work of the devil himself! Linux audio is a device of torture for those not well dipped in Linux code! ^^

So, im looking about at distros that have audio etc set up well for Shoutcast broadcasting. I prefer XFCE and would like 64 bit, but to be honest, ill take anything now! 4 months on and off trying to get it to work right with Ubuntu and Debian based distros! ^^

Ive gone from the long haired hippy look to the combover if pulled so much hair out with this. ^^

I think Dream Linux or Xubuntu with Amarok with all the right codecs installed will do the job.

i am a 64studio user and have been since i quit using windows. it is very stable and for the use i have it is even better than windows with cubase and rolands cake walk products. i play more blues and country than actual dj and electronic music so i do not know what its like to use it for that purpose. but one thing is that if you have lots of usb stuff plugged in then on windows as for the most part you cant unplug the connections with out reinstalling the drivere cd. on this distro it finds a new usb instrument plugged in and jack sets it it up as a connection most suitable for the type of intrument. i have both more than one drummachine and a keyboard and some other usb devises i use. i can just plug it in and it works. i am a hobbyist but if i needed a stable pro setup i would use this distro and look at the homepage for the commercial add ons and offerings there seems to be.
