Compiling Alpine-2 on Ubuntu-8.4

Hi,

I am trying to compile alpin-2.0 on Ubuntu 8.4, in particular Web Alpine. Has anybody successfully compiled Web Alpine on Ubuntu and has a how-to?

I managed to compile the Web Alpine component but now I am stuck at setting up the web server.

Do you need to compile it? Apline 2 is available from the hardy backports repo.
You can enable the backport by going to Software Sources (System>Admin>Software Sources) on the "update tab" select backports then install alpine.

Hi,

Well, I am interested in the Web Alpine part (the web interface) of alpine.

Compiling worked fine now but a guide to setting up the web interface is what I need most now. ;-)
