Hello:

I'm not sure this post belongs here, but I am confident it will get moved if it does not :)

I installed Rubrica yesterday from the applications > add applications menu. It is located under accessories > More programs.

During the install, it kicked out a couple errors regarding missing packages. Once it was finished, the program opened fine, but it would not function. When I tried to save an address, it errored (is that even a word?) and closed.

Has anyone successfully installed this program so that it is functional?

I also tried to use Rubrica downloaded through the repositories. Although I didn't get any install errors, I was never able to save anything either. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any help.

Two years later to your posting if it still applies...
I installed Rubrica with some initial errors, but it's working fine now. I had to change the default name from "rubrica.rub" to "somethingnew.rub" and set the default path for Rubrica to find my new file, also set in Rubrica's Preferences. I prefer Dlume, another even simpler address book, but it doesn't import as far I know.

Rubrica has a few bugs, but it is amazing simple, fast, small and straightforward. Good luck.
