A bit OT: USB hubs on iMac(DV)

Hi all.

A bit off topic but: As the iMacDV comes only with 2 usb 1.1 ports i'm looking to get a usb hub for a bit of expansion. I see some hubs advertised as "for Macintosh". Do I have to get one of these specifically or is this a marketing thing and a standard PC usb hub will be fine? I'm inclined to think there isn't compatibility issues but as I can't find a definitive answer on the web I thought i'd check.

USB is a standard. if a USB hub would not work with a mac then either the hub or the mac is not meeting the standard and would be allowed to use the usb logo.

i have never had any problem with any USB hub on a mac. you don't even have to worry about USB version 1 vs 2. the computer, hubs and devices all figure out the highest speed they can all support.
