Hmmm. The Poll only allowed 1 choice...
Main desktop: Mint Elyssa
My laptop: Mint Elyssa
Wife's Eee: The linux that came with it...
11 yo's laptop: Xubuntu 8.10
7 yo's Eee: WinXP (for a few more days)
1 Server on CentOS 4.5
1 Server on CentOS 5
2 Servers on Win 2003, but soon to be converted to CentOS
1 PC running FreeNAS
I think that covers everything in the house... ;)

I use GoboLinux, which is a system based on linux from scratch with a new file hierarchy system and custom package management that is similar to slackpkg, portage, and ... well... the third part is only in Gobo. The installer could use some work since it doesn't allow you to create multiple partitions, with custom mounting locations. Other than that, I love it. It suits my needs very well.

Ubuntu, I dabbled with other distro's before settling on it. I like the debian package management system and would probably use debian itself on a server but for my desktop I don't like the 'must be libre' mentality that debian has going for it.

This should definitely be a multiple choice poll I currently use almost half of these and I've tried almost all also arch needs to be there.
I put Ubuntu as it's on my family computer and I boot into it the most. (other then arch which isn't on the list)

Isn't CrunchBang an Ubuntu remix?
I used it for a while, and to me it IS Ubuntu with OpenBox on top.
From the Crunchbang website:
CrunchBang Linux is an Ubuntu based distribution featuring the lightweight Openbox window manager and GTK+ applications. The distribution has been built and customised from a minimal Ubuntu install.
With the exception of a few packages, CrunchBang Linux is built entirely from packages available from the Ubuntu repositories. CrunchBang Linux uses the same APT package management tools and update manager.
So as of now, it pretty much is Ubuntu.
As for the poll, I voted "Other." I use Arch.

I put down Gentoo since that's what I'm currenly using the most often. Aside from that, I use Fedora and Ubuntu on a semi-regular basis, and have a OpenSolaris install that I would use if it could share my ext3 home partition. I'm thinking of adding Pardus to my computer as well, since I have a spare partition set aside.

Other:
Arch - mainly used.
IPCop - Linux based, dedicated, standalone firewall/router, providing other additional services.
FreeNAS - which is based on FreeBSD.
Sabayon4 - upgrade trashed 3.4f so I'll get around to replacing it with Zenwalk, sooner or later.
Leopard - rarely used (yeh I know, some of us have stretched our answers beyond the question :-)).

Awesome, it's fixed a lot of functionality problems that I've been having with 4.0.1 like I can finally mount my ntfs partition (driver was always available but would never build for me since it always kicked out errors asking for librefuse and a bunch of other packages only available for BETA) and xorg is more readily available as a binary package. It's still very much in development stage though I tried to install from the daily snapshot netinstall CDs and had to try a few before I got anything to work. I think I'm going to run it until I get some kind of massive breakage(don't ask me why I installed it on actual hardware was just feeling couragious and my current install wasn't playing nice :)) then switch it to a VM and try out OpenBSD or prehaps MidnightBSD until 5.0 is released.
Edit: Is it just me or has ftp.netbsd.org become really unorganized? Ever since they started moving some of the files around things have just become really confusing. The files are all still there buried and hidden in different folders but I think it needs some cleanup.

It's fine I was just being stupid not being able to find the up to date packages since I was looking in the wrong directory.

I've used Ubuntu for about two or three years. I've occasionally dabbled in other distros, but never for very long. However, I think I'm going to give Arch another try in a week or so, mainly because there's a wireless bug in Ubuntu that I'm very irritated with. It'll also be fun to tinker around with Arch again.

I'm sure Ubuntu will lead in this poll. We are on the Ubuntu Forum. I primarily use Ubuntu. I also use CentOS since I use RHEL at work.

I use Kiwi which is basically Ubuntu, but with a few changes. At the moment I am using Kiwi 8.04/Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. Kiwi/Ubuntu 8.10 is too slow booting. I also figure that I will get longer service from an LTS version, so I'll be staying with this setup on my laptop for a long time.

Archlinux + Ubuntu.... Arch is better and I love the rc files. I don't know where to begin governing the start up order or what starts under traditional Linux. You like have to write some long header thing and it looks like a real pain in the ***.

I tried running 9 again recently myself, fully updated. My results differ from yours; 9 is still a pain, while my 10 install feels like paradise by comparison. More proof to the "mileage my vary" slogan we use so often.

Let's just say that the boat sank. My attempts to lighten Fedora just broke it, and rather than deal with it any more, I replaced it with Windows 7. I now wish I had that twm desktop back (more details [aka raving madness] in the Windows 7 beta thread).
