Hey all,
I have a Dell Latitude E6400 attached to a port replicator. I am running Ubuntu 8.0.4.
All features of the port replicator seem to work just fine except for the external headphone jack. It plays sounds and music through both the laptop's internal speakers and my external speakers, which are attached to the dock's headphone jack. The laptop's internal speakers should turn off when the speakers are plugged into the port replicator's jack. The internal speakers turn off, as they should, if I plug in the speaker's to the laptop's headphone jack instead of the one in the port replicator. This feature works just fine on Windows.
I am using ALSA for all of my sound playback. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
