Thinking about getting this game. Are the servers pretty packed still, or have people moved on from this game? I already play Enemy Territory, so if this online is dying, what are the most popular FPS online shooters for Linux still? It's hard to find up-to-date stats on this.

I think the game is still quite active. http://stats.enemyterritory.com/ shows 7k players in last 24h.

Personally I'm on Savage 2 (http://savage2.s2games.com/main.php) now - 300-500 players regularly.

Hello, I'm pretty hooked up playing FPS on my PC.

When I was browsing around in this forum I found this thread and thought I'd give my $0.02 about Enemy Territory too.

Well, maybe I should say that I'm far behind with playing up-to-date-games in general.
I have now found the time, a few days ago, to install a few games and boy have I become addicted (again).
Currently I'm playing:

Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter ... You really have to think carefully & act slowly before doing anything, this is not a "search & destroy" game.
Far Cry (yes, Far Cry 1) ... OMG the graphics is so awesome, and the gameplay too ... although far too hard sometimes. (I'm only 1/2 way through though).
Battlefield 2 ... what great graphics quality, but still difficult to look through for me.
Quake Wars - Enemy Territory ... refreshing, very fast movements ! Action non-stop, but I still need to figure how the games really works.
See, two games of the list above are rather confusing to me due to the complicated gameplay. I wished all modern games came with an extensive tutorial built in for us noobies.

Yes, I'm the worst of all Noobies but still ... I enjoy playing these FPS games so much and I don't even feel guilty wasting so much time for it.
Because you can't lose a life if you don't have one :P, right ?

Get it. I never have any problem finding plenty of well occupied servers.
Also the game is very good indeed. Well worth the few quid it costs now.

For a quicker, more old school FPS experience with a good player base get AssaultCube. It's just about perfect for a quick fix of violence with minimum hassle.
